Why sequels?

A sequel is an expansion on a theme, whose arrival redefines the versions that came before it and the meaning of the whole. They are continuations or reinventions of a story that reveal new aspects and expose new truths. Through repetition, we discover which elements are essential to the theme, and which define each unique iteration. A sequel can give the theme new life and recontextualize it.

Bronson Sequels embodies these ideas. Continuous personal reinvention is what brought about Jennifer Bronson’s passion and interest in creating jewelry. Taking existing pieces, re-casting and re-creating them to be more relevant and beautiful for the wearer is a central idea, and many designs are centered around repetition and the way no two iterations are ever exactly the same.

Implicit in the love of sequels is appreciation and adoration of bad movies, and the way they make it possible for two contradictory ideas to both be true. In the jewelry, this is represented by using deconstructed, decayed, and broken forms, and making them central to the beauty of the resulting pieces.

As sequels build upon the body of the whole, Bronson Sequels adds bespoke pieces and repetitive highlights to create a growing theme.
